Symptoms:

Dates are show in the fomat mm/dd/yyyy rather than dd/mm/yyyy.

Resolution:

By default a new Sharepoint installation is configured with US regional settings. This results in the date format being presented as MM/DD/YYYY. To resolve this change the regional settings to English (United Kingdom). To change the regional settings do the following:

1. Log into your SharePoint Site as the Site Administrator (This is usually your primary technical contact)

2. Click Site Actions then Site Settings

3. From the Site Administration section click Regional Settings

4. Select English (United Kingdom) from the Locale: drop down box.

5. Click OK
